1. shipping eligibility

We currently ship across the continental United States (the lower 48 states).

 

Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories are not covered by our standard shipping rates. If you are located in these regions, please contact us for a custom shipping quote.

2. shipping rates

Our shipping fees are determined by order value and product category:

 

Doors (interior door slabs, prehung doors, barn doors, etc.):

  • Orders under $1,000 → Flat shipping rate of $199.
  • Orders between $1,000 – $3,000 → Flat shipping rate of $129.
  • Orders over $3,000 → Free Shipping.

Accessories (barn door hardware, handles, and other small items):

  • Free Shipping nationwide.

Shipping rates are automatically calculated at checkout.

3. lead (processing) & transit time

  • Lead (Processing) Time: Orders ship within 4–6 business days.
  • Transit Time: Delivery usually takes 4–10 business days, depending on carrier and destination.

Please note: Freight shipments may require additional scheduling time.

4. shipping method & delivery process

Doors: All doors ship via LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight.

  • A trucking company representative will normally call you to schedule a delivery appointment. If you prefer not to schedule, you may provide us with delivery instructions, and we will arrange for the carrier to drop off the shipment at your designated location without requiring someone on-site to sign or be present.
  • Deliveries are curbside only; the driver will bring the pallet to the ground (liftgate if required). You are responsible for moving items from that point.
  • We recommend having at least two people ready to assist with unloading.

Accessories: Small items ship via FedEx, UPS, or similar parcel carriers.

 

Why LTL Freight?

Shipping doors via LTL reduces damage risk compared to parcel services. Doors are securely packaged on pallets.

5. delivery inspection & damage claims

  • Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery.
  • If there is visible damage, missing straps, or broken packaging, do not sign the delivery receipt until the carrier notes the exception. Ask the driver to issue an "exception number" and record details on the delivery paperwork.
  • Take photos of all damages and packaging before unpacking. You may open the pallets in the driver's presence if necessary.
  • All damages must be reported within 48 hours to be eligible for a claim. Contact us at [info@doorharbor.com].
  • For minor damages that do not affect structural integrity and can be repaired, DOOR HARBOR will offer a repair cost reimbursement based on photo evidence provided.
  • Once you sign for the delivery without exceptions, it is considered accepted in good condition, and we cannot file claims afterward.

6. returns & refunds

We want you to be confident in your purchase. Please review our return conditions:

  • Return Window: Returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery.
  • Condition: Products must be unused, uninstalled, and returned in original packaging (including pallet and protective materials).
  • Non-Returnable Conditions: Products that have been installed, stained, painted, or otherwise modified are not eligible for return or refund. Custom-made doors or special-order products are final sale.
  • Approval: All returns must be pre-approved. Contact us with photos before repackaging.
  • Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Freight returns must be re-palletized.
  • Restocking Fee: A 25% restocking fee applies to returned door products. Accessories (hardware, handles) are non-returnable once installed or used.

Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.

7. cancellations & order changes

  • Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase without penalty.
  • After 24 hours, a cancellation fee of up to 30% may apply if production or packing has started.
  • Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled and will follow the standard return policy.

8. acceptance of terms

By placing an order with DOOR HARBOR, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate delivery information and be available for carrier scheduling.
  • Inspect shipments at the time of delivery and report damages within 48 hours.
  • Accept responsibility for any additional fees (re-delivery, storage, reconsignment) if delivery appointments are missed or addresses changed post-shipment.
  • If the freight carrier cannot reach you by phone and the shipment remains in their warehouse for more than 7 days, the carrier may mark the goods as abandoned. In such cases, the order will not be eligible for a refund.
